When the smoking ban was introduced in England people were forced outside in all types of weather if they wanted a crafty fag. Due to this a number of pubs, cafes and restaurants provided certain outside smoking areas that provided shelter and heat for the smokers as they puffed away. The shelter that was provided would vary from one establishment to the next but quite often commercial Parasols were used. Just like a giant umbrella a commercial Parasol can provide plenty of protection in a host of weather conditions. Of course, you often see a Parasol being used when the weather is warm. On the sunniest of days people like to eat and drink outdoors and a Parasol can provide them with shade as they enjoy alfresco life. The café culture has really taken a hold in the UK and in high streets, quayside developments and a host of shopping malls a cosmopolitan feel is present. You see tables and chairs placed outside eateries and wine bars and they are often accompanied by a Parasol for the customer`s use. Small hand held Parasols might have been used to provide shade from the sun many years ago but now the commercial varieties are providing shelter outside a number of businesses.

It`s the same old problem every year when the winter months are upon us. Frost proves to be a pain and many industries have to think of ways of stopping their pipes and machines from freezing solid. A highly effective way of preventing frost from causing problems is to use trace heating cables and Heating tape. Plant engineers can fit resistance zonal types of cables and tapes in heated zone lengths of around one metre. It proves to be a simple task to fit the Heating tape once it is on site. Reels can be delivered to the site and the required length can be cut to suit the requirements of the pipe. The actual physical termination process is also relatively straightforward and this can be conducted by anyone with a moderate degree of competency. The benefits of such a system are numerous and trace heating is often required to act as a deterrent to frost, or for when a constant temperature is needed on certain pipes. One thing that should be remembered when using the Heating tape is it should be temperature controlled by a suitable type of thermostat device. Specific types of trace heating systems can be designed for individual clients or they can choose to implement their own.
